Today, I'm going to show you how to [music] build a simple, but effective communication satellite. Start by choosing your [music] probe core. I'm going to choose a hex. Now, to make sure we can rotate, I add some SAS and some batteries. On the sides, I add three static [music] solar panels. Now, on the other three sides, we need to add some antennas. Alternatively, [music] you could place a bigger antenna on the top of the satellite and place some batteries here on the sides instead. Optionally, if [music] you're playing in science or career mode, you might want to put some science experiments on the satellite, too. But, just like that, [music] the payload is ready. Now, let's build out an upper stage. For this, I add another probe core and [music] SAS before encapsulating everything in a fairing. Also, make sure to add [music] some batteries or solar panels to the upper stage because we want to deorbit it when we're done. I don't think we need much fuel here. And we only need a tiny engine. So, I add a tiny 1.875 [music] m fuel tank and then an adapter down to 0.625 m, where I attach [music] a spark engine. This will give the upper stage a lot of delta V. Now, let's build [music] the main launcher. For this, I cover the upper stage adapter with a fairing, then just add a [music] fairly large fuel tank with a Bobcat engine. Optionally, you can add this extra fuel tank at the bottom for more delta V, >> [music] >> but this is more than enough to get to orbit. But, after adding some fins at the bottom, we're ready to launch.
